Some Art Show Examples
Over the many years I have participated in many art shows from the early 70’s when I had 20 prints in Ginny’s Gallery in the Sunset District of San Francisco to my solo and group shows her in Siskiyou County. It’s always been a labor of love and rewarding to have so much adulation. Here are some samples of some of these shows.
Wondering and Wandering
With the wonderful, talented pastel and oil artist Wilo Balfry at the siskiyoou Arts Museum.
Focus and Form
With the great sculptor, Jack Shaw at the Liberty Arts Gallery.
Building Stories
I was asked to do a solo show of my architectural images at the Siskiyou Arts Museum. It was well received. This subject is not often regarded as fine art, though I regard it as just that, especially because of its collaborative nature.
An Unseen Weed
An inspired moment made me realize that the photogrphs I was making while walking the streets of Weed, California, were from a percpecive that most people would not think to have as they go about the town. So I realized I should do a show for the local people in my own galery. It was a good experience and a good bonding with many I would not have gotten to know otherwise.
"Visual Athletics"
Reading a piece written by the renowned photographer, Joel Meyerowitz, refering to photgraphy as a form of "visual athletics" I decided to put together a show by that name and highlight some of my more difficult shoots and feature a wide variety of media to print it on.
